Types of chainsaws
The types of chainsaws are divided into two groups: according to the nature of the engine and the type of cut.
Electric, battery and petrol chainsaws are among those classified according to engine.
Electric motor chainsaws
This class of engines has a power that ranges between 1,600 and 2,200 watts. In terms of maintenance, it’s very important to have the oil tank full for greasing the chain and clean it well after every use. All chainsaws with a built-in lithium battery have a power output ranging from 18 to 36 volts. They require the same maintenance care as electric chainsaws.
One of the reasons to choose them is that they are quite simple to operate, which makes them a relatively safe tool to use, considering that a cutting instrument always represents a risk.
These chainsaws are suitable for cutting soft woods (pines, poplars, cedars, etc.) with a maximum diameter of 15 centimetres. They are also ideal for high pruning, except that the machine does not weigh more than 3 kilos and can be handled with just one hand.
